The library located at the school is rather unique. The present library used by the school, is also a branch of the Sutherland Shire Library.

Teacher librarians are in attendance on Monday and Tuesday of the school terms. A Shire librarian assists the school's librarian on Tuesdays as part of a reciprocal agreement between the Department and the Shire. The building is used as a community library on Monday and Wednesday from 3pm to 8.30pm and on Saturdays between 9:00am and 12:00pm

Our School/Community Library arrangement was officially sanctioned by Sutherland Shire Council in February 1974 and approved by the Education Department on 1st May 1975 by L. Gordon, Area Director of Education, St George Area. The library became fully operational under this joint agreement on 1st December 1975. The current Shire librarian has been employed since its inception.

This arrangement between schools and other community organisations, was one of the first such agreements to be established in NSW Part of the reciprocal arrangement includes, furnishings and payment of electricity by the Department but the Shire is responsible for its own telephone line and computer equipment, for adult and supplementary reading material and for furniture pertaining to the Shire's books.

This joint facility makes it possible for school borrowers to have choice from an extensive catalogue and for the wider community to use the library outside normal school hours.
